How the test works
Choose how much each statement fits you in general. All questions are required. Impulsivity can vary by stress, sleep, emotions and context.
Quick strategies to reduce harmful impulsivity
- Delay: wait 10 minutes before acting on urges.
- Reduce triggers: remove cues, block apps, avoid high-risk contexts.
- Plan: prepare “if-then” rules (If I feel the urge, then I will... ).
- Regulate: sleep, food, movement and stress reduction can lower impulsive spikes.
- Skills: CBT/DBT skills, coaching or therapy can help if patterns are persistent.
